IPL SCHEDULE FOR SEASON 2023

Hazratullah Zazai (Upcoming Cricketing Star)

Hazratullah Zazai is a name which is an attraction in upcoming era of cricket. A Stylish cricketer of Afganistan had a fan fall in India too and will be missed this IPL but love to watch in an upcoming World Cup.

In February 2019, Hazratullah Zazai put the EA Cricket Video Game players to shame, as he smoked a 62-ball 162* against Ireland in the third T20I at Dehradun. He smoked 16 sixes to carry Afghanistan to a massive total of 278 - also a world record.

Watch Hazratullah Zazai's Great Innings

Hazratullah Zazai, in his brief career, is known for one stupendous innings - a 162 off 62 balls, was an innings of such extraordinary carnage, that it made him a household name in the cricketing fraternity overnight. In a country known for its spinners, and more spinners, Zazai was a welcome addition to the batting line-up so that the exemplary spinners had larger targets to defend.

He set the world stage alight when he smashed six sixes in an over in the Afghanistan Premier League, playing for Kabul Zwanan against Balkh Legends in Sharjah. A broad, bulky southpaw, Zazai has a Hayden-esque presence at the wicket, and showed signs of a precocious prodigy as a teenager in a T20I series against Ireland, culminating in a fiery 82 to seal the series.

He had already made an identity for himself with a 44-ball hundred in the APL, but the six sixes record, paired with Yuvraj Singh's 12-ball fifty record (both in the same game, 12 years apart) certainly sent his stock soaring into orbit.
The sample space is still too small to draw a judgement, but Zazai is a likely contender for the upcoming World Cup in England, given that he could give Shahzad company at the top of the order to make for a formidable opening pair going forward.

Penalty saving specialist Diego Alves leaves Valencia for Flamengo

Diego Alves spent his first four years in Spain with Almeria after joining from Atletico Mineiro, keeping out 12 of the 18 spot kicks he faced with the Andalusian outfit before switching to Valencia in 2011.

Diego Alves, the Brazilian goalkeeper who has saved more penalties than any other player in the history of La Liga, has ended his decade-long spell in Spain by leaving Valencia to join Brazilian giants Flamengo, the Spanish side said on Sunday.
Alves spent his first four years in Spain with Almeria after joining from Atletico Mineiro, keeping out 12 of the 18 spot kicks he faced with the Andalusian outfit before switching to Valencia in 2011 for three million euros ($3.44 million).
He further cemented his reputation as a penalty-saving specialist by denying Lionel Messi from the spot in the first spot kick he faced as a Valencia player and last season saved two penalties during a defeat to Atletico Madrid, one from Antoine Griezmann and the other from Gabi.
Last September Alves, 32, made a record-breaking 17th penalty save in Spain’s top flight in a 2-1 win at Leganes, taking him ahead of former Barcelona goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta.
He broke another record in April when he denied Cristiano Ronaldo from the spot to accumulate six penalties saved in a season, conceding only three spot kicks over the course of the campaign. In total, he saved 24 of the 50 penalties he faced in La Liga, conceding 24, while two missed the target.
Valencia announced his departure in a brief statement on their official website, saying: “Valencia closed a deal with Flamengo on Sunday for the definitive transfer of the rights of goalkeeper Diego Alves to the Brazilian club.”
According to reports in Spain, Flamengo have signed Alves on a four-year contract for less than 500,000 euros.

Jason Gillespie - Seriously considered applying for India head coach

Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie while talking to cricket.com.au  admitted that he "seriously considered" about applying for Indian team coach's job but later dropped it after having a discussion about the same with family.

Former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie while talking to cricket.com.au  admitted that he “seriously considered” about applying for Indian team coach’s job but later dropped it after having a discussion about the same with family.
“I talked a lot about that with my family,” Gillespie told of his decision to not apply for India’s head coaching role.
“I to’ed and fro’ed. I had days where I thought, ‘right, I’m definitely applying for it, I’m going to have a crack and see how far I get’. “Other days where I wasn’t so sure. In the end I just felt I wasn’t quite ready for that opportunity. “I think it would have been a wonderful job and I congratulate Ravi Shastri on getting that job. “Maybe one day in a couple of years that’d be something I’d seriously consider,” he said.
While India’ head coach position has been taken up by Ravi Shastri, Sri Lankan team are in a hunt of a new head coach after Graham Ford stepped down from the post earlier. The Sri Lankan board for now have named Nic Pothas as the interim coach for two home series. Talking about applying for the coach’s position, Gillespie said that it would be a wonderful job but suggested that they didn’t really have a history of sticking with coaches for long time.
“It’d be a wonderful job (coaching Sri Lanka), Gillespie said.
“Sri Lanka was one of my favourite places to tour as a player, I loved playing cricket there, I love the country, it’d be a fantastic job. “But, and this is with all due respect, they haven’t had a history of sticking with their coaches for too long so that would definitely be in the back of all coaches’ minds. “The recent history over last five or so years, there’s been a high turnover of coaches so that certainly would be in the back of coaches’ minds – it’d be in the back of my mind,” he said.
Talking about getting the job, the former Australian bowler suggested that it depends upon how a coach thinks he can make a difference.
“You’ve always just got to have an approach to just select the best guy,” he said. “If it’s a local guy, it’s a local guy. If it’s an international, then so be it. “You certainly don’t want to get up in the politics of all that. All you can do as a coach is present your case on how you think you can make a difference and help the team perform better. “If you’re the best man for the job, then you should get offered that opportunity. “Speaking as a coach, you only want to be judged on whether you think you can make a difference and help the side, and that’s how it should be. We’ll have to wait and see on what jobs come up in the future,” he added.
